Five for Friday: Keiden Edition

  • This week we've had Keiden start helping with cooking beyond stirring and sifting. He now cuts up some veg with a butter knife. He's very pleased to be doing some cooking.
  • He seems to have wholeheartedly embraced the thought that 2 is meant to be challenging for parents. It's a big test of my patience.
  • With the recent letter pattern recognition we've been making more of an effort with letters. K has been doing an alphabet puzzle with one of us everyday lately, and has now gotten to the point that he does all the outside pieces of a 46 piece puzzle by himself :D [Big proud parents moment when we spotted that.]
  • We spent last weekend at friends who have a son a few months younger than Keiden. The two of them were such monkeys together. But what really makes me all kinds of happy is seeing the way Keiden made sure that they would both get a snack or something. He'd as for something for E first before asking for himself.
  • There have been quite a few bad sleep nights lately, but the pre-falling asleep cuddles and stories I get from him helps ease the sting quite a lot.

  1. It is a challenging age but it seems like he is doing so well. Sharing is huge at that age and generally only comes later. Well done mom

  2. Gemma loves cutting up salad stuff and veggies when we cook, I say let them at it. As long as they are supervised and it is teaching them a great life skill.

    1. With you there. Everyone needs to know how to cook.

Thanks for your comment :)
