Book Thursday

Table Mountain’s Holiday by Lucy Stuart-Clark

If you’re looking for a gift for a slightly older reader, I’d say 4 and up, then this locally written and published book is the one for you. We came across it thanks to the wonderful Kirsten from The Book Owl - another spot to look for books for littles.
Table Mountain is tired of being covered by the cold cloudy blanket, so he decides to go on a holiday. The story is a charming take on some of the more well-known spots to visit around the Cape Peninsula. With the book designed in the style of a travel notebook, complete with pictures, and scratched out words, it is bound to delight your little. And if you don’t mind them personalising the book, it would be a wonderful addition to your visits to the spots.

It doesn’t rank on Keiden’s rereading scale yet, as he is still too little to fully enjoy it. But it is something fun for the parents, and bound to intrigue the older littles.
