Sleepytime Kittens by Joanne Partis

In Sleepytime Kittens, three kittens in the farmhouse aren't feeling sleepy. Mum tells them that counting sheep will help them feel sleepy. So off they set to find some sheep to count. They wonder around the farm finding all sorts of animals, while looking for sheep to count.

As they wonder around the farm the meet a number of animals, but no sheep. The animals they meet start with one shaggy sheepdog, and go up in number to ten – when they finally find the sheep. What makes this a great bedtime read in our house, is all the animals and the different sounds they make.

As an added bonus, on each page there's a sheep to spot. Keiden loves making the sounds for the animals, and loves playing spot the sheep. Playing spot the sheep is a fun way to keep on enjoying the story. The illustrations are in the style of first drawn in pencil and then painted.

This is a great story to add to your collection, it has a fun way to count. Tons of farm animals, and a great way get your little to look at the whole page when reading.

On the Keiden rereading scale it scores 4/5. On the parent rereading scale 3/5.
