Cryptoscopophilia
  • desire to see behaviour of others in privacy of their home, not necessarily sexual

  1. Well, a quick etymological breakdown:
    Crypto: hidden
    Scopo: visual experience
    Philia: love/appreciation

So "the love of seeing things that are hidden", literally.

  2. True, but I do think "an urge to look through the windows of the homes you pass" suits it a bit better, and explains a love for reality tv.
